Class Descriptions — Classes are not limited to those described below. Please check schedule for a full listing of all our classes as they do change:
Spin: A cycling class using a stationary bike designed just for these classes-helps with endurance. Come early to reserve your bike and get set up.
Step: Using a variety of steps and equipment(including your own body weight, body bars, dumbbells and elastic tubing) this class will increase muscular strength, endurance and flexibility, promoting increased metabolism and firmer bodies.
GABS: Toning from head to toe utilizing a variety of equipment. Teaches proper alignment and posture. Great for strength and stamina!
Pilates: Pilates promotes "mindful movement" by keeping the mind totally focused on what the body is doing while relaxing and relieving stress; and increasing flexibility, strength and balance. Pilates centers on core stabilization movements and emphasizes toning over flexibility.
Happy Heart: A dynamic fitness class! Designed for seniors, this class is do-able for everyone. Improves strength, flexibility, circulation and stamina!
Boot Camp 101: based upon body weight exercises and simple accessories, the routines will make you sweat!
PACE: A quick 45-minute circuit workout of alternating endurance and strength featuring every major muscle groupĀ in the body. A super workout for time-crunchers.
Kickboxing:Get ready to shed pounds and inches, get in shape and have a blast doing it! This high-energy, calorie blasting workout combines dance tunes with body slimming and sculpting moves. Once the music starts, you won't want to stop.
Weekend Workout: A surprise overall conditioning extravaganza for you weekend warriors where the environment varies from the aerobic studio, to the weight room, or possibly outdoors.
WOW: Wild On Weights. Held in the weight room, this informative class focuses on the proper usage of all the weight equipment with hands-on application.
Yoga: Various levels offered to suit your needs for flexibility, balance and tone plus enhancement of the body, mind and spirit!
Cardio Dance: Make fitness fun in this cardiovascular dance class utilizing simple steps in Hip Hop, Latin, Salsa, and more.
SilverSneakers: Muscular Strength and Range of Movement: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Aquacise: An aqua aerobics class designed to improve cardiovascular fitness and overall strength and flexibility while minimizing stress on the body. A great workout for individuals of all ages and abilities.
Aqua Intervals: Challenge your cardio fitness with this interval class designed to tone and condition. The instructor uses various interval training techniques that will challenge your cardiovascular system while toning and conditioning muscles you never knew you had!
Aqua Power: Invigorate your spirit with the power of water! Each class is different! Toning, stretching, sculpting, aerobic and interval training are all available! Become stronger and stress-free!
Cross Currents: Providing the best of both water worlds, this class combines deep water suspended work and
shallow water aqua work and aerobic moves. A perfect cross-training aquatic combination!
Wet 'N Wild: Total body conditioning, toning, balance, flexibility, calisthenics, and water walking all set to music. Non-swimmers are welcome.
SilverSplash: Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety! SilverSplash offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination.
